CO2 Capture Technologies Benchmark Refresh
A follow up to the “Next Generation Capture Technology – Benchmarking and Performance Analysis” project, this project refreshed and extended techno-economic studies of capture technologies used for gas fired power stations.
A follow up to the “Next Generation Capture Technology – Benchmarking and Performance Analysis” project, this project refreshed and extended techno-economic studies of capture technologies used for gas fired power stations. This was used as a benchmark to provide comparable information on one or more next generation capture technologies.
The analysis produced a new benchmark level which incorporated recycled exhaust gas and provided a set of robust, independent and directly comparable technology assessments of specific technologies which were under consideration for further demonstration.
The findings of the project helped shape ETI thinking for further activities undertaken in its CCS programme.
