Innovation to drive cuts in Carbon Capture and Storage costs

The ETI has welcomed the announcement by DECC on CCS innovation today.
Andrew Green, Programme Manager for CCS at the Energy Technologies Institute said:
“We welcome any innovation in the field of CCS as our modelling work has shown that CCS has the potential to play a major role in any future low carbon UK energy system. The industry requires innovation to make it economically viable so we welcome the announcement today and will watch with interest the technology development that these awards will support."
