Dr David Clarke, CEO of the Energy Technologies Institute said: “The Energy Technologies Institute welcomes the latest announcement from one of our major collaboration partners, the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV). We are delighted that the first three locations to be selected by OLEV for funding under the Plugged-in-Places scheme are members of the ETI’s Joined-Cities Plan. Through the Joined-Cities Plan, the ETI is working with a number of locations across the UK to enable the cost effective deployment of a compatible infrastructure for plug-in vehicles. The funding from OLEV’s Plugged in Places scheme will enable a step change in infrastructure deployment in three of these locations – London, Milton Keynes and the North East. The ETI welcomes enquiries from other locations interested in participating in the Joined-Cities Plan."
